Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioningHVAC, or Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning, refers to the process of climate control of buildings of residential and commercial and refrigeration that requires the control of humidity and temperature. HVAC training at our trade school provides technicians with the theory and knowledge required for installation, maintenance and repair of residential and light commercial systems. After completion of our school’s program, the student will be prepared for an entry-level job as an HVAC technician. Technicians in Virginia must be certified in the handling, storage and processing of refrigerants. Students will be given the opportunity to train on all sections that are covered in the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification examination. Once a technician has graduated from this program, they may decide to specialize in certain areas of HVAC. For example, they may wish to concentrate in the heating or refrigeration systems or they may wish to specialize in installation only. Some may wish to generalize in all aspects of HVAC. School courses are meant to give the student training in all areas of Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning repair maintenance and installation. Program ObjectivesThe purpose of the HVAC technician program is to provide entry-level job skills to trainees for employment as entry-level technicians. Our objectives are meant to keep your training relevant to related industries here in Hampton Roads.
