Family of Community Career Schools Officially Launches OnWatch™ Training to Help Recognize and Prevent Human Trafficking Across the Country

Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, and Tidewater Tech, a group of 19 schools headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA have officially launched their partnership with OnWatch™. In honor of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the organization is rolling out the free, online training created by the Safe House Project and Malouf Foundation to its employees, students, and local communities. The training focuses on survivor experiences and seeks to empower everyday citizens to recognize and report signs of human trafficking.

“Conspiracy theories surrounding human trafficking are prevalent, and it is increasingly difficult to discern what trafficking really looks like, and what can be done to stop it. We are proud to further our support of the Safe House Project by adopting this training. We hope to educate and empower people across the United States, as we serve many communities and career fields through our campuses,” says Executive Vice Present, Dr. Joel English. The organization will encourage its 950+ employees and over 5,000 students to take the training, share it with their friends, family, communities, and social media followers in order to reach as many people as possible throughout the month of January and beyond.

The training is free and open to the public. Please visit https://www.safehouseproject.org/ to learn more and join the fight to help end sex trafficking.
